Crisis Center:

In cases of extreme emergencies, national and/or local disasters, it is sometimes necessary to relocate people from one location to another. Established crisis relocation centers are set up to handle the needs in different parts of our county.

The
Fayette County Health Center is a Crisis Center and in an emergency situation we may be asked to accept people who are injured or in need of shelter. If this should occur, our building administration and/or his or her designee would close the building to the public and secure the facility to prepare for 24/7 alert for the crisis at hand. FCHCA will coordinate our services with all agencies in an effort to assist our local community to the best of our ability. All un-necessary staff would need to leave the building.

The
Information Center will be set up as a Team Command Center to coordinate activities throughout the building. All agencies will be notified and their participation requested as the event develops. There may be a need to convert conference rooms into temporary emergency rooms or shelter to accommodate incoming victims.

We hope that this need will never arise, but we are prepared to provide support to our community when needed.

Crisis Relocation Centers:

We have formed a partnership with the following agencies and they will interact with The Fayette County Health Center to assist our facility should we need to relocate people to that location. Communication with that facility must be made to insure that they will be capable of handling additional people in an emergency situation:

This listing is revised and updated  annually. If you know of another location that could be used in an emergency, please have them contact the administration office to develop a plan of action.
