| The Purpose Of The Fayette County Health Center |
The purpose of the Fayette County Health Center has been focused on improving the quality of life for Fayette County families for almost a quarter of a century. Over two hundred and fifty people work here and hundreds of people are in and out of our facility for services or counseling daily. On an average week we can expect two thousand visitors.

DEEP MINE SAFETY: You must remember the 9 miners and their families that were touched by one of the agencies that work out of the health center. Was it a miracle that all NINE survived the 77 hour mining ordeal or was it having the right people there making the decisions that counted? The mining survivors deserve credit for making it through this accident, but the men and women from Deep Mine Safety never gave up hope. With perseverance, through several set backs, they did not falter. We are privileged to work with some of those men and women right here at the health center.

DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH: The Department of Health provides clinics, and health services daily. It’s standing room only during Flu Season while they provide much needed services to our community. They’re also an excellent resource for information. Pamphlets and literature are readily available to help you with all your healthcare needs.
